YIN event

The Young Investigators Network (YIN) invites early-career scientists to participate in a social event, taking place on Tuesday, 2 September 2025, from 19:00 at Hotel Tiziano, within the framework of the European Aerosol Conference 2025 (EAC2025). This will be a great opportunity to meet fellow young scientists and become part of the young aerosol network.

Seminar: Mental Health in Academia

How do I deal with the pressure to publish? What if I’m not good enough? Or maybe even: How do I stay well while doing science?

For this year’s YIN event, we invited Dr. Psych Fabio Tartarini, a psychologist specialized in the well-being of researchers, to help us navigate the mental challenges of academic life. From stress and impostor syndrome to burnout and work-life balance, Dr. Psych. Tartarini will guide us through an interactive workshop packed with practical tools and strategies. Come along to learn how to recognize the warning signs, build resilience, and share ideas on thriving (not just surviving) in academia.

The Contest: Creative Breakdown

Join our Digital Creation Contest on Mental Health in Research. Send us an original digital creation that captures, in a creative, ironic, or humorous way, a mental breakdown or a difficult or funny moment from your research life. Accepted formats include: memes, photos, slides, short videos, audio clips, screenshots, comics, or any other digital form. The prizes will be awarded to the best entries. Winners will be announced at the YIN event during EAC2025.

Please submit your entry to: eac2025.yin@gmail.com

Deadline for submission: 3 September 2025, 14:00 (2 PM)

Join us for insights into the topic and a discussion!

After the workshop, snacks and a drink will be served with further socialising.

The event is organized by a team of early-career scientists under the umbrella of the Gesellschaft für Aerosolforschung (GAeF), the Nordic Society for Aerosol Research (NOSA) early-career scientist (ECS) board, TSI GmbH, and Italian Aerosol Society (IAS).
